Well, now, what do we make of the Wisconsin recall elections? We could mention that the GOPs success wasnt overwhelming. We could mention that the two predictable wins gained by the Democrats may very well be offset by next weeks recall elections for two incumbent Democrats (as both candidates are on shaky ground). We could mention that Governor Walker is still in need of a major popularity uptick. Or mention that the unions basically wasted anywhere from 20 million to 32 million dollars (numbers vary) to prove that Wisconsonians think Governor Walker was correct. But you know this already.
So the Czar will take a different spin on this. And that spin is to reaffirm something the Czar keeps saying around here: Liberals, you are not nearly as well-supported as you think you are.
2010s elections should have been proof enough, but the Liberals refused to quit or quiet down. They went after Governor Walker in a big way, jamming the State Capitol building with hundreds of unwashed protestors, screaming, chanting, vandalizing, and in some cases breaking and entering. And for what? Their own elected representatives fled the state in fear, only to be handed a legislative defeat.
And so they promised they would redouble the fight, and take to the streets! And a couple hundred did. Unfortunately, more people saw a movie called Drive Angry in Wisconsin than attended the mass protest.
Still not getting the message, the Liberals went after State Supreme Court Justice David Prosser, ensuring the conservative justice would be defeated and a liberal justice would take his place, throwing out the legislative defeat. Prosser won handily, sending a clear signal that the Liberals just were not going to win.
Naturally, they howled foul, and demanded a review of the election under the suspicion that a Waukesha County Clerk was a Republican, and deliberately sat on 7500 Prosser votes until the end. The clerk, who is a lifelong Democrat, would have gained nothing by sitting on Prosser votes, was exonerated by an independent audit who found nothing amiss with her tally.
Well, no doubt the Liberals understand now how the system works, right? Nopebecause they threw another hissy and began a recall process to defeat at least three and as many as six Republican state senators, even gaining signatures in some cases by allegedly falsifying the purpose of the petition. And regardless of how close some voting was, the reality was upheld: the Liberals just do not have what it takes. Figure out the clue, folks: youre unpopular.
And already it is not over. Liberals still hope to save Mickeys farm by putting on another show: they are planning to recall Governor Walker when he is eligible for a recall vote. Already some experts are theorizing that this faces long odds, given that the unions who funded these elections have pretty well spent all they can get away with, that union members are fed up with the incompetence of their electoral liaisons, and that Governor Walker, as of Wednesday morning, is now even harder to unseat.
You see the theme. You saw it in 2000, when there must have been fraud because Bush, whom not a single Liberal voted for, defeated Gorewho clearly was the greatest guy ever. How could Americans not vote en masse for Vice-President Gore? The only possible answer is that the GOP stole the election.
Of course, you know full well that this myth has been debunked. Not just once. Not twice. But many times overso many challenges came out, and challenges to the subsequent findings, that perhaps no other election result is better understood than 2000. And it was not because the US Supreme Court leans to the Right that they concluded the recounts must stop: it was because so many independent audits confirmed the results that no possible different answer would ever emerge. Yet, the challenges continued, and the results were the same. And still, Liberals want to prove 266 is larger than 271.
There is no special or unique psychology to explain this; the answer is perfectly apparent: Liberals continue to throw tantrums anytime they do not get their way. No, not actual protests, or concerns, or reasonable investigationsbut floor-stomping, fist-clenching, toy-throwing tantrums. But these are disguised as recalls, recounts, and radicalism; no matter what you call it, its just a time-wasting, expensive-as-hell bit of boo-hooing. Liberals cannot believe that they lose anything; but they better start figuring it out because the real ass-kicking is starting up.
Next time, the Czar recommends that Liberals try breath-holding tantrums. This wont be any more effective in changing reality, but it will be a lot more pleasant for us who live there.
