Browsing Our Web

One question we never get asked is what web browsers we use. GorT thought it would be a great idea if we each shared some information about our respective web browsers. So here goes. You geek dorks will find this fun. Probably.

The Volgi uses the 道 4.2 browser for his iPad. Seems to offer plenty of good security, but the Flash support is wanting. The explosive thunder effect, however, is very good.

This is the browser the Mandarin uses, rendered in two dimensions. Not sure if you click on something, put your hand over it, or your foot in it. The thing is also incredibly fast, once he took off Microsoft Silverlight.

This is the browser the Czar uses. It is an old version of Netscape Navigator, and we like to use AltaVista because it was pretty fast, and the Czar freaking hates Microsoft and Google, especially since the latter locks up on the image search feature one out of every three times.

Dr. J sticks with his Imperial AT-KO browser from 1977. He has customized the thing a little bit, and it runs scripts pretty fast. But it makes plenty of weird sound effects when you select things.

GorT recently switched to the Infikhrar 24.3.Yen browser a couple weeks back, which sends news feeds directly into his mammoth brain. The thing is fast, powerful, and does everything... except of course launch a PDF file, but he says that happened when Adobe jumped the shark.

‘Puter still uses a pencil on his browser, now that he finally got rid of that annoying A:\ prompt. Yes, his password is pASSword. Security is better than you might think: nobody would dare touch his keyboard.
