Two school districts, one in California and one in Iowa, have instituted anti-bullying programs in their schools. "Great news, 'Puter!", I can hear you say. "What's the problem?"Well, the programs are targeted at teacher-on-teacher bullying. 'Puter can only assume that such a horrible idea came either from the teachers' union (as a method to prevent well-deserved teacher firings) or from do-gooder PTA moms, bent on implementing a feel-good, everyone's-OK agenda.
'Puter suggests that rather than waste time, money and energy with this idea only a hippie could love, fire the aggressor teacher involved and refer her to the local district attorney for criminal prosecution. It's workplace violence, not bullying. Treat it as such.
