Dems Play Janus

But only to the extent Janus is the two-faced god. What's got 'Puter fired up now? Well, 'Puter was watching the talking heads on MSNBC (we watch so you don't have to) bash the insurance companies while lauding the coming utopia of ObamaCare.

'Puter got to thinking. The Democrats' unspoken core argument on health care is: Giant, bureacratic insurance companies who ration treatment and claim to know what's best for you have so monstrously screwed up the health care system that the only way to fix the mess is to turn the entire health care system over to the giant, bureaucratic federal government who will ration treatment and will claim to know what's best for you.

The argument's exactly the same for financial regulation, TARP, etc., but that's for another post.

How about we try this. Instead of substituting on behemoth in for another, let's devolve decisionmaking and payment to the lowest level - the individual.
