Israel A Go On Iran?

Rumors keep crossing the Czar’s butcher block desk that there is more to President Obama’s concession to Russia on the missile defense shield. Vastly more.

The rumors, now buzzing on conservative radio, Israeli chat forums, and whispered discussions, suggest that the President’s move to pull the missile shield out of the Czech Republic and Poland might be crazy—crazy like a fox.

The rumor, which you may have heard, is that Obama has struck a deal with Russia: if we pull the missile shield out of Europe, Russia will stand back while Israel launches a major military strike on Iran. Possibly quite soon.

The Gormogons have already shared some of the evidence back in July that something might be in the works.

Further, there was Bibi Netenyahu’s very secret trip to Russia earlier this month. Why would the Israeli PM sneak off on a private jet, meet in private with unnamed Russian top dogs, and then sneak back? Some speculate that it was the precursor to the Obama green light deal.

The Arab world is abuzz with the latter event, with many Arab pundits concluding that he went to stop a potential sale of Russian anti-air rockets to Iran, which might be used against Israel should the latter attack the former. So, even if the first theory was false, the second theory is just as confirming.

The Czar is wary on this one. Israel is powerful and fast, but anything beyond a quick surgical strike is asking a lot of Israel. The Czar could be wrong, but taking out Iran’s probably massive nuclear program won’t be the cakewalk it was against Iraq in 1981. Iran and Iraq battled for years: Iran is no quitter.

And would Russia really stop Israel from going ahead? It isn’t like Russia will swarm to Iran’s defense: Russia knows what Israel has at stake. So why the visit? The Arab theory has more credence here. Because really: does Russia need the missile shield out of Europe so badly that they would broker a deal? Seems unlikely. Fact is, Russia may not even care two poops about that missile shield, except as a propaganda tool.

This may really be two unrelated stories: one of Israel setting up the pieces on the chessboard, and one of Obama being Obama. The President certainly has done nothing to stop or hinder North Korea except send you-know-who over there. So why the mastermind conspiracy to oversee the defeat of Iran?
